Running a Dars Report
How to Run a DARS Report
The DARS Report is a great self-management tool that the university provides you. It is designed to match the college courses you've taken against the specific degree requirements of any ASU degree. Thus, DARS provides you with a clear indication of how close you are to graduating… it’s also the report the University uses to verify whether you have completed your degree.
You will be required to provide your DARS every time you visit an academic advisor for course selection and requirement information. You may also be required to provide your DARS to professors in those courses that have pre-requisites in order to demonstrate that you have met those pre-requisites.
Steps for requesting a DARS:
- From the Main ASU page: www.asu.edu, click on My ASU at the top menu bar.
- Logon using your ASURite ID and password. (If you do not have an ASURite ID, contact computer accounts or visit the Computing Commons).
- Click on My Progress Reports (DARS) which is located in the box “My Programs & eAdvisor.”
- Select Degree Audit (DARS).
- Click on Request New Degree Audit.
- If you have a Default Program Listed, you can just click “Submit a New Audit” and skip to step #12 below.
If you do not have a default program listed OR if your default program listed is not the major you’re interested in viewing, click on the Run Selected Program radio button. - Select the first letter of your major (for example, K for Kinesiology).
- Select your “Field/Specialization” (see chart below for help).
- Select your “Degree Prog” (see chart below for help).
- Select your catalog year. This may be the year you began your studies at ASU, or if you transferred from a community college in Arizona and did not miss or skip any semesters, then your catalog year may be the year you began your studies at the community college.
- Click Submit a New Audit.
- Continue to click on Refresh List until your audit appears (it may take a few minutes).
- Once its completed it will appear under “Degree Audits Completed” and you can click on Open Audit.
- To print: Click on Open All Sections. Click on Printer Friendly, located just under your GPA. In the toolbar, choose File and then Print. The report will be 8 – 15 pages long. If you want to save money, in the printer menu, click on Preferences, choose to print 2 pages per sheet.
